How and why does La Lesetsa upcycle?
Beautiful laces, trims and fabrics do not need to be sent to landfill just because that dress is “just not our style” or “old and outdated”, very few of us want to wear our mother’s wedding dress, at least in its current state. So at La Lesetsa we break down, repurpose and rework pre-loved wedding dresses into new gowns. We saw the need for this because the way we value clothing as a planet, in general, is unhealthy and unsustainable. At La Lesetsa we want to find new beauty in the pre-loved and find new ways of making garments so that the generations that follow us have a future to look forward to.
What if I can’t travel to the La Lesetsa studio, can I still make an appointment?

How many fittings should I expect and am I charged per fitting?
There are no hidden costs, the final quote that is decided on at your design appointment is what you will pay for the remainder of the process. You should expect 3-4 fittings, this includes your final reveal. Any additional fittings requested by the client will cost R250 per 45 minute visit.
What should I bring to a Design Appointment?
All your ideas and inspiration. These could be pictures on a pinterest board or cutouts, textures or photo’s.
What should I bring along or wear to a Fitting?
The undergarments (skin tone) and heels you will be wearing on your big day. It is also wise to start thinking about what hairstyle and what type of accessories, if desired, you will want to add to your dream outfit.
What should I wear when having my measurements taken?
The same type of undergarments you will be wearing on your big day, a fitted top and whatever else you feel comfortable in.
